Well...Now SSA employees can be thankful thursday.
As can the people who are getting better service.
Retirements will continue no matter what happens with hiring. My office is losing 10% of our staff due to retirments occuring the end of this year. We cannot replace staff now. If there are cuts in staffing, salary freezes, furloughs, etc. we will have difficulty functioning based on the staff we will lose. The public will suffer.
Yes, check staffing levels after the first of the year, after all of the year-end retirements. Don't expect any improvement in SSA staffing levels or public service for a long time. The Dems did too little, too late.
Oh, come on. The Dems are to blame for doing too little, too late? Same thinking as those who blame Obama for not fixing all of Bush's mess-ups immediately.
