August 3 Social Security And SSI Checks At Risk

The current status of raising the debt ceiling is that even if Republicans and Democrats could immediately agree on a plan, there is hardly enough time to pass a bill if recalcitrant Senators such as Jim DeMint (R-SC) and Rand Paul (R-KY) filibuster and they probably will. There is no agreement among the leaders and it is unclear whether Republicans in the House of Representatives will be willing to agree to anything. Many of them believe that failing to raise the debt ceiling would have only minor consequences and would be desirable. Financial markets will put pressure on everyone as the week goes along.

There is a very real chance that the Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) checks due to go out on August 3 will be delayed. That would be terrible in and of itself but there is an enormous threat to the U.S. economy.

Why come after the lil man, for their money issues? What will happen to those who are unable to work, due to their disabilities?,like me.It's my only income, like most Americans. Most will end up homeless or worse.Obama will be having a war in his own country he controls, how many Americans do you think will accept these conditions?Instead of spending what money the country did have on another war across seas, he should of been thinking about what we could afford, and how to improve America. We need to stop coming to another country's aid,let them handle their own, it was none of our business, after we got our revenge, we should of stop right there years ago.Our country needs to learn how to do us first. Stop paying the politicians for a job they are not being successful in,they are suppose to be for the lil ppl,to help make things better, they are only doing things to make it better for them.Better yet lets stop paying Obama, I wonder how much expenses we pay for the white house to house our president, how much does it take the run a house of that size? How many useless parties do they entertain in the ballroom, etc.I did not vote these politicians into congress, why should I (we) have to suffer for their stupidity?

A new beginning, Protect our own citizens, Protect our own financial interests, and most of all, Build America within to be a power house and producer of quality products worldwide. Less politicians to control our country. We have way too many politicians as it is and our country can't make timely decisions. When there is war, take the spoils of war from an enemy country for example, if they have oil then we take it for the interest of our country. Provide free education and health care to all citizens and legal residents only. Keep illegal aliens outside our country using military force if necessary.
