Although the regulations state that the extended period of eligibility lasts for exactly 36 months following completion of the TWP, the statute says that the EPE lasts for an indefinite period of time beginning with the first month after the TWP and ending with the first month of SGA occuring more that 36 months after the end of the TWP. 42 USC 423(a)(1)(E).
