Mutually Exclusive Goals

I watched today's hearing before the House Social Security Subcommittee on the impending shortfall in the Social Security Disability Trust Fund. I noticed that Republican members were insistent on two points. One was that Social Security disability recipients should know that Congress won't allow their benefits to be cut. The other was that there must be no transfer of funds from the Retirement and Survivors Trust Fund to the Disability Trust Fund. However, these are mutually exclusive goals, unless we increase taxes and I don't think the Republican members will agree to that.
So what is the Republican plan? They're the majority party in Congress. They can't just sit back and criticize the plans that others come up with. They need a plan of their own. I look forward to reading the plan that meets both their goals.

I guess the plan is to make it easier to terminate benefits for those they believe are cheating the system. They could also make it more difficult to obtain disability benefits.

I don't like this solution but it a way for Republicans to meet the promise of no cuts in disability benefits (for the much smaller group of claimant's that would still be eligible) without transferring funds from the retirement trust fund.

This is a divide and conquer strategy. They are pitting present and future retirees against the disabled. It is despicable but I think that is the strategy.

Here's a plan that is fairly obvious...cut some other govt. program.

If you look on the Heritage Foundation webpage they have a plan.

After three years waiting for an ALJ hearing the Judge read my case, called my lawyer and cancelled hearing. With a favorable decision backdating to December 2010 after S/S denied me twice. Now, two years later two the date I have received the long form CDR! Looks like regardless of what the previous ALJ decided they are looking for anything to kick me off SSDI that I paid into for 27 years. Never took welfare or unemployment in my life. I'm also a Desert Storm Veteran who was given countless vaccines prior to Desert Storm. Not to mention handling depleted uranium weapons on USS Ranger CV-61 from 91-93. Oh, and operating just 30 miles from the all the oil well fires that were spewing deadly gases into the atmosphere. I'm housebound and must keep my feet elevated because I was diagnosed with orthostatic intolerance after tilt table test. My short term memory is gone and can only concentrate at one task at a time. My thyroid mysteriously no longer works along with my gonads not producing any testosterone. My muscles and joints hurt so bad I'm on two pain killers soma and tramadol that I must take before getting out of bed. I'm on xanax and nortriptyline for anxiety and depression that mysteriously I never had before until 5 years ago. I spent a year in Charlotte at the Hunter Hopkins Center on Ampligen for a year which cost me roughly $50,000 for moving there from Houston and $25,000 for the Ampligen infusions twice a week. After a year I could no longer afford Ampligen and moved back to Houston to join my Wife. I was 70% better and was going back to work but a month off Amoligen I relapsed and lost all I gained.
It's obvious the Government is hiding something or there would be more than 5 million a year for research which is a joke. I believe a depopulation experiment was ran on us in the military because were expendable. They did the same to the Huntsville prison inmates who made the guards and their families sick as well. The inmates bodies were to be autopsied but instead were cremated at a Army Fort in central Texas. This is just like the Tuskeegee experiment and one day a President four decades from now will have to own up to it and apologize. So many deformed infants from Veterans after the Desert Storm from this government crime against humanity!
Needless to say I expect my SSDI will be stopped and I will have to pay for an attorney to appeal. The US Government is pure evil and are all illuminati. I'm proud of my service during Desert Storm but ashamed of my Country doing this to 750,000 of our heroic Armed Forces!
