List Of Sanctioned Represetatives

Social Security has recently released a long list of attorneys and claimant representatives who have been barred from practicing before the agency because of misconduct. Note that the list goes back many years. Also note that the list doesn't include the name of Eric Conn.

I looked at the list and checked on one from my area.

It seems that person was disbarred by the State largely for neglecting clients over a long period of time. I am wondering if this is a list where the SSA took separate action or really just a list of disbarred attorneys who may have handled or been handling a SS case when they were disbarred or just a list of disbarred attorneys and non-attorneys generally.

This is list where the SSA took separate action to disqualify individuals from representing claimants before ODAR. There are attorneys who have been disbarred by their state licensing agency and continue to represent claimants before ODAR. The SSA process to disqualify can be very slow and drawn out, but gives the representative due process.

Fun Game:

Try to find a rep that SSA barred who wasn't already previously disbarred by a State or territory or convicted on serious charges related to that person's practice.

The guy in my area probably handled an SSA case for his cousin, but he was known for estates (and now embezzlement). He was NOT a "Social Security attorney".
