Here are some interesting messages from the Secretary of Homeland Security to then Acting Commissioner of Social Security Leland Dudek back in April. Note the stern, commanding tone of the messages. Note also the complete lack of legal underpinning for what is being demanded. These were posted by Social Security itself. By the way, Dudek, who apparently has a Twitter account, liked and retweeted my tweet about this. As always, click on the images below to view full size.
It's reasonable to assume that this list of "suspected terrorists" included individuals merely exercising their right to free speech, writing editorials regarding foreign policy.
ReplyDeleteAre these more of the fake death dates that have ruined the integrity of the Numident?
Slow news day? Nothing to see here. Lee served honorably and saved thousands of jobs.
ReplyDeleteThis comment is just plain BS. No I do not feel sorry for Lee, he was a hot head in OSOHE. The executives should have accepted his resignation when he quit in OSOHE.
DeleteCharles, are you serious? You “almost” feel sorry for Leland Dudek? Leland, forgot to put on his big boy pants when he went along with the scheme. Everybody has options.
ReplyDeleteNo, we don’t even need to be within 200 miles of feeling sorry for Dudek. He’s playing the victim now (liking your tweet; really?!) because his stupid power play inevitably ended badly for him. But he certainly had no qualms about targeting thousands upon thousands of hardworking, innocent SSA workers to fire (or make vulnerable to firing via Schedule F) - more even than other agencies, more than what the Administration was looking for - because he thought it would help him long term. Reap, sow, etc.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Dudeck is a traitor to the Agency and all staff. Remember prior to his stint as Commish he was put an admin leave for leaking internal information to DOGE.
DeleteI assume he was put in tenuous moral positions as Commissioner but the joker volunteered for it.
Leland, you must be online constantly while on “alleged” administrative leave. You think this is an appropriate use of taxpayer money?
ReplyDeleteYeah what about the waste fraud and abuse of keeping him on the payroll.
Delete"almost" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here.
ReplyDeleteNo sympathy for Dudek. Bro backstabbed his way to be the Austro-Hungarian army marching band director in July 1914. Armed only with a trumpet, he was promptly shelled by Russian artillery.
ReplyDeleteAmazing how easily it was to weaponize the SSA. A sad day for.anyone who believed in the agency's actual mission. SSA was not intended to be immigration, i.e., DHS' tool.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone eventually seeks to hold the death master list falsifiers accountable, these may be useful. Posting them on the SSA website? That’s about as smart as going to a Cold Play concert with…well you know.
ReplyDeleteWe really, really don't have to feel sorry for him. He wrecked this agency.
ReplyDeleteEven Dudek didn’t bring the sabatoge coming August 1. All CSRs getting assigned to 800# duties. Union just put this out to its members.
ReplyDeleteUnions don’t exist under this administration. Elections have consequences.
DeleteThat'll end well. CSRs all going to the TSC. Can't wait to watch the fireworks.
ReplyDeleteApparently nobody up top knows what a CSR does.
ReplyDeleteI never asked anyone to feel sorry for me. I've published what I shared with DOGE to LinkedIn and on X. I have admitted as much to the IG as part of an investigation on my activities. When I became ACOSS, I turned over my old laptop to IG for forensic analysis. They have my laptop from when I was COSS as well. My emails are part of capstone. I was fully cooperative with OIG investigators.
ReplyDeleteWould I do it again? Yes. My peers in the agency said Trump couldn't get elected the first time. They said something like January 6th couldn't happen. They said Trump wouldn't be reelected. Then, they said it will be like the first Trump term, DOGE is not going to amount to anything. Then they said what happened to USAID, EPA, OPM, Ed, and GSA couldn't happen to SSA, we are too important, we are smart and trusted, we get it right.
I went in knowing the consequences. My choice was always to put our 70+ Million benes and recipients first; they need every cent just to live.
If that came at your expense, I regret that deeply. Your sacrifice made room for others.
Yes, I have a poor temper. Yes, I should have been fired for pitching my blackberry at Dave Thomas. I'm also human. Since then, I sought and continue to recieve counseling. I no longer drink alcohol. I'm a continuous work in progress.
Lee
That second paragraph, especially the part about Jan 6 and the cuts at other agencies really isn’t a flex, bud. 1:03 am on a Friday? Seems like you need to clear your conscience but until we see if the agency survives the course you put it on, absolution isn’t coming your way.
DeleteSSA was looming toward disaster before him. Management was awful. Remind me what OARO did? SecurityStat was abolished by Carolyn and Michelle. CCE is a failure. Lee may have accelerated the demise, he didn't cause it.
DeleteYou literally first hand wrecked the Agency and forced many of my coworkers and friends to resign or accept reassignment under duress. You are pure scum for now trying to white knight that you saved the Agency. Go crawl back into whatever hole you have found yourself in.
DeleteAlso you have a double digit IQ for suggesting that you were going to get out of the DDS backlog by just allowing every case….literally zero idea how CDRs work and how you would be putting hundreds of thousands on the dole for years and years because we couldn’t document medical improvement.
You never cared about the beneficiaries. You cared how deep you could wedge your tongue up someone's arse. Where did that get you? You gutted the agency of institutional knowledge in a few weeks. You will face the music one day and the folks you stuck your tongue in will not back you up one bit.
DeleteHey Lee, I was reading Orwell’s 1984 and this quote reminded me of your time as ACOSS.
Delete“He was a fattish but active man of paralysing stupidity, a mass of imbecile enthusiasms – one of those completely unquestioning, devoted drudges on whom, more even than on the Thought Police, the stability of the Party depended.”
