Surprised The Trump Administration Didn’t Pour It Down The Drain

From a contracting notice posted by Social Security:

Request for Quotation for the disposal of surplus alcohol-based hand sanitizer for Social Security Administration (SSA) facilities nationwide at approximately 20 locations. SSA has a hazardous waste surplus of expired alcohol-based hand sanitizer from the COVID-19 epidemic, which requires disposal. The disposal must be completed in accordance with the laws as required by the Federal, State, and Local Environmental Laws.

  2. The Biden administration bought the surplus of alcohol based hand sanitizer. I’m still trying to figure out why the Obama administration bought ammo

  3. 20 locations? Not even close to enough. This stuff is all over the agency. In the COVID panic, someone decided every officed needed 5 bottles of cheap nasty hand sanitizer per employee plus more for shared and public spaces and force shipped multiple cases to every office. Before it arrived, HQ realized this much alcohol in storage was highly flammable and required us to acquire giant storage cabinets. I seriously doubt more than a couple of bottles ever got used in many locations. Please get rid of it, and do so responsibly.

  4. The hand sanitizer we got was horrendous. Anytime you used it you’d have to wash your hands because it left a sticky residue behind lol

  6. More wasteful Biden spending that could have gone to hiring employees. I’m glad DOGE is finally cleaning this mess up.

  8. I never realized that stuff expired. The stuff I carry in my vehicle is almost pure alcohol.

  9. Maybe they can send it all to a distillery and produce some government surplus vodka. A cocktail would go nice with the next round of pretzels.
