I finally received several payments on December 18th. For the past several years I have noted that in many cases the Baltimore Payment Centers would only pay us around the 1st of the month and nothing the rest of the month. SSI fees were not involved in that situation because those fees are authorized locally. I have handled Social Security Disability cases for 35 years and have experienced many months when we were able to eat turkey. This is definitely something that we're seeing in our practice. Our monthly fees fell off the table following the govt shutdown and they still haven't recovered. It's like SSA is still moving at half speed. Anyone else notice this trend? Any guess as to why this is and when things will return to "normal?" Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
