The Social Security Administration will close its Clinton office effective June 1 and merge it with the Davenport office.
The move should make the local administration of the agencies services more efficient, an agency spokesman said Friday. However, it will be more inconvenient for some residents to travel to Davenport for personal service they currently get in Clinton.

How long did it take SSA brain trust to make this decision? LOL Let me see 3 people in once office will cost us over half a million in the next 5 years, maybe we should close the office.
How many peple did the office have 5, 10, 15 years ago? Just part of the strategy--let staffing decline until the office is "too small" to keep open. The workloads are still there, not getting done.
