Not A Good Sign

The El Paso Times reports that the local Social Security office will be conducting a free workshop to help people learn how to use the agency's website.

Such workshops would be unnecessary if Social Security had a truly user friendly website.

  1. The SSA web site is not complicated or difficult. Field offices are just helping to promote internet services to reduce the demand for personal service in understaffed field offices.

  2. There is a reason that the SSA website continues to recieve awards for its design, its because it is very good. So much is available online, but most basic information is readily available.

  4. It is an excellent website. I work in Maryland and we have similar outreach efforts, just to make people and third parties aware of it.

I love your blog, but you always assume the worst.
