The speaker, Grover Norquist, is one of the most important gurus of the Republican Party, perhaps the most important. Notice the passive aggressive nature of his message which is, essentially, "Republicans won't shut down government. Democrats will shut it down if they don't do what the voters -- speaking through Republicans -- demand."
What an ass he is!
ReplyDeleteHe says Obama needs to back off his liberal agenda and Republicans need to roll back what he has passed to control spending.

Sounds good to me.
Although i'm a democrat,i always wonder why both parties use the phrase"the american people"or"the voters"as if all people wanted the same result.
ReplyDeleteIt's true spending must be reduced but not to important programs such as SSA. By this i mean the likely beneficiaries who need assistance
But over paid employees($100,000+)who deny claims unjustly is step#1.
Thanks for the Christmas cheer, GOP. I get to be scared every dollar I spend now isn't going to be there at some point while you guys play your silly games with the American people. It's not just shutting down "spending." Federal employees are people too. We've got kids, mortgages, and utility bills, and I don't think threatening to cut off thousands of paychecks in the biggest shopping season of the year during a time when the economy is *already* hurting is a good idea. We (and the millions of families depending on the Social Security benefits they earned) will suffer the brunt of your chest-pounding, while you still get to go home to your mansions. But I guess we're all overpaid and lazy anyway, I guess interrupting our livelihoods isn't so bad. Come on, Congress.
ReplyDeleteScot Brown? How deserparate are we if we have to go back to Scot Brown. Spend and waste money? How now brown cow, what about GWB. He spent and wasted a 7 billion dollar surplus into the nightmare we have today. All so that his oil buddies could reap the benefits of oil going from $22 bucks a barrell to over $100 bucks back to only $88 bucks a barrel. Thanks Georgie boy.
ReplyDeleteThese right wingers are out of their minds. Not to mention selfish, racist and stupid.
