The last thing I heard about this was a few days ago President Obama said that they might not be sending out Social Security checks when they're due tomorrow.
As of yesterday afternoon, 8/3/16, I received my text to my Verizon phone and was able to successfully log in. It took a minute or so for the text to arrive but when it did there was no problem getting in.
And it was hell
