1041 no need to be snarky, our isolationist tendencies and England's appeasement were both reprehensible but thankfully defeatist attitudes did not win the day. Hopefully it won't take another Pearl Harbor. Crimea was another big mistake and we should have stood up then. Putin will march right across the west if we let him. Then he will cross over and give Sarah Palin a nice view outside her window.
We literally did, turning back refugee ships prior to pearl harbor.

Doesn't seem particularly lost. Seems like Russia overplayed their hand and their military is oddly uncoordinated/undersupplied. Which is particularly weird, since my understanding was that was pretty much the only thing they had going for them in the modern era. Well, that and natural gas/oil, which Europe appears more than willing to stop buying.

ReplyDelete10:41 we did have that attitude until attacked by another power, dont let history get in your way.
ReplyDeleteWas it a world war in 2014 when Crimea was invaded?
