Fair?

The National Committee to Protect Social Security and Medicare is blaming changes made during the Trump Administration for SSA’s data systems crash last Wednesday. Is that fair? I don’t know. I do know that the agency’s data systems are at greater risk due to staffing cuts.

  1. These sorts of incidents have unfortunately become commonplace since the Trump administration took over, as DOGE’s crusade at SSA has left the agency in chaos. ♟

  2. As I read the article the very change they refer to is staffing resources. And that is 100% to blame.

They either pushed out the door or reassigned the people that made things function. Entire internal resource sites are gone because those who maintained are gone and there is no support now.

Entire servers went offline because those who maintained the security certificates were gone and no one else knew to update.

We’ve had more outages this year than years past and I 100% blame the DOGE cuts.

  3. It would be helpful if more people on the inside would offer their thoughts on this.
