Defining Deviancy Down

The Washington Post has an article on the emails from Social Security to beneficiaries touting the passage of the “Big, Beautiful Bill.” Only at the end does it mention how wildly inappropriate the emails are. Apparently, they regard this as something only of interest to “left-leaning” groups.  It’s much the same with USA Today, CNN and NBC News. Apparently, the New York Times has taken off for the long weekend and hasn’t noticed the emails at all. By Sunday or Monday it may just be old news to them.

It is more of a “who cares” type of story.

Boy, wait until Charles hears about Biden pushing DEI in the ranks and hiring accordingly to the point that multiple plane crashes were traced to it. Or that the US Government fully funded political radio stations, tv shows and foreign countries to carry out a political agenda. Charles will be greatly angered when he learned the mainstream media refused to even acknowledge such things, and worse, aided them. His hard-earned tax dollars directly paying for political propaganda without a peep from the media.

But yes, tell me how one email is so bad. End of democracy?

Your claim falls apart under scrutiny. It blames DEI for plane crashes without any solid evidence. Textbook case of false cause. Your emotional outrage without facts doesn’t make an argument, it just spreads misinformation.

Did you take your hood and bedsheets off after you typed that, Dudek?

Leland, admin leave is getting to you, isn’t it? Your time is coming, Sir.

Does anyone know who runs the Press Office these days? Just some DOGE hacks maybe?

Dear fellow readers, the Leland bashing is tiresome and not amusing. He is gone and did less damage than expected.

Yes, I got one. I wanted to throw up a little. I deleted it, it was making my other emails mad. d;-)

How would you know? We will wait after the investigation to make that determination.

DOGE and Leland's damage will be decades remediating -- beyond the careers destroyed, vulnerable beneficiaries who've lost access to service, and destruction of a once proud agency, SSA's brand as a trusted service provider has been destroyed. Certainly Lee Dudek is not worth the energy so many expend on him but on whole, the Agency has lost all credibility among the American public, just as designed. If that's not the case, SSA can resume publishing service metrics including customer sentiment and satisfaction data.

There is no longer a Press Office at SSA.

It’s okay Leland. We won’t go too rough on you! Just some gentle needling from those of us you laid off or forced into demotions. You can use your name when you post. We still love ya.
