US Vice President JD Vance delivered a fiery message during a discussion about illegal immigration and Social Security benefits. Vance argued that encouraging people who are in the country illegally to claim Social Security benefits would undermine the program rather than protect it. “If you are encouraging illegal aliens to sign up for Social Security and steal Social Security benefits, you're not protecting Social Security, you're destroying it,” Vance said.
Of course, illegal aliens are already ineligible for U.S. Social Security benefits so there would be almost none of them receiving benefits. Maybe Trump needs to issue an executive order slamming immigrants and forbidding them from receiving Social Security benefits. An imaginary solution to an imaginary problem.

Sadly, even those with a green card are being called "illegal" now. I don't think the average person understands the different variations of immigration. 🙄. The title to this post made me a bit angry. My friend (yes MAGA, and yes my friend, tho we agree on absolutely nothing) thinks that undocumented immigrants can just walk right in and get on medicaid. That is SOOOOOOOO not the way it is, and being a deep red person, when you give him evidence (which i did), he just scoffs and walks away not believing it.... if the great orange god in Washington says that's not true than my buddy will believe him over me. 🙄. Do some slip through the cracks and commit fraud? Of course... in every society there are those that will find a way. Is it as prevalent as they say it is??? No, not even close.

He's talking about fraud! Stolen SS#;s and the like. I, personally, do not see the big deal about him mentioning it. It is important to prevent fraud and fraud is NOT imaginary; it exists everywhere and every day! My SSDI is going to be cut by about 22% soon and I want to make sure that there is zero fraud, because if/ when that happens I will certainly be homeless and am barely hanging in there now. If someone wants to complain about Trump, then complain about the "no tax on SS benefits for those over 65". That only hurts the trust Fund that I rely on and pretty much the only people paying taxes on benefits are those making or getting money each year above and beyond their benefits. When you take half of your benefits and apply the tax formula, most people who rely solely on SS benefits to survive pay no taxes anyway, so that only helped people who are better off financially which seems to be the reverse of helping people seriously struggling. Warren, although I am not a fan of hers, had the right train of thought in promising to increase benefits by $200/ month but it was an empty promise as the Trust Fund is diminishing and that increase would take an act of Congress. What should happen, along with fraud prevention, is a fix to the Trust Fund issue and a significant increase in befits across the board, not just for those who are at the low end. My benefits amount is larger than the average Retirement benefit even though I stopped working at 37 and I am struggling in a very big way. Benefits need to be increased the Trust Fund fixed and we need to practice the name of the benefit by putting “SECURITY” into this entire program!!

Zero fraud is not achievable in any state, country or continent ever. There are, and always will be fraudsters out there looking to take what they can from people. This is a worldwide problem. That being said, catching them is gold. If caught, they most likely won't re-offend, but that is questionable too. Eliminating 100% of fraud would take the creation of a whole new civilization with halo's above their head. As it stands, the disability trust fund is perfectly fine until 2099, it's the OASI trust fund that will be depleted. THAT being said, there's talk that they wouldn't just cut seniors Social Security and would just automatically make the cut across all beneficiaries. The way I see it, is if my federal benefits drop, than the state benefits will rise. And in the right states, it would equal out.
No one is illegal! They are human beings and therefore they are undocumented! Do better
