Leland is coming back as chief of staff to oversee the RIFs with the OMS. I don’t know why yall think he’s leaving. Frank plans telework until the end of the fiscal year at least and then begin some onsite work once RIFs are done.
Welp that pretty much guarantees the RIFs. Bisignano has been communicating with the DCs and ACOSS the whole time. Those of us in HQ see and hear this. At HQ we aren’t using the term “mission critical” anymore, that was just for the phase 1 exercise. Nobody is safe going forward. Bloated FOs will have cuts (mostly excess management), level 2 DOs will be consolidated with bigger DOs, the “skinny RO” goals will be reached, TSC cut 25% nationwide, and most HQ components will lose an additional 10-12 %. This is the target OPM wants and that Bisignano agreed to implement.
Frank will not. He will mitigate selfmade crisis after crisis. Build the necessity to bring in contractors, probably via components. Start with IT, then work to phone reps, then fo staff. Why pay an SSA employee $100k+ with benefits when you can pay some one $50k, double the staff count, and say you did something.
You’ll still hate your commute just as much when the ALJs are forced to commute in every day. Way to be a good rube/crab in the bucket and direct your anger at your fellow laborers instead of the rich a**holes responsible for your misery, though. The ghost of Ronald Reagan praises you.
@6:12 - not sure there are any “bloated” fo’s in the field anymore . The excess management is doing work and unable to keep up . What is true is that there are many level 2’s in my state that have 4 or 5 people max. Would make sense to consolidate those at this point . I suspect that was always the plan
While the contractors may get paid less, in my experience they cost the government more per person. In fact, I’ve seen contracts insourced that enabled a doubling of headcount the other way.
If Mr. B was communicating with DCs and ACOSS the whole time and yet told the Senate he had not, why did YOU not communicate to the Senate that he was lying to them?

And with that, Leland Dudek’s reign of terror comes to an end.
Let Frank Bisignano’s reign of terror begin.
Well, I'll be honest. If they offered me that job, I'd turn it down. It makes me question the wisdom of anyone who agrees to do it.
Will Frank bring back telework for all as his first act as Commissioner?
What a surprise!
Hahahahaha
Leland Dudek’s next job will be as store greeter as part of a work release program.
We ain't seen nothing yet. Frank will be 10 times worse than Leland. The agency won't survive.
Frank will bring telework back for himself. Do you expect him to be commuting to Woodlawn each day?

Only the wealthiest and most powerful will telework during the Bisignano admin: Frank and ALJs. The rest will be forced in five days a week.
You all worry way too much about telework
More staff cuts and contracting out are on the way thanks to every Republican in the Senate...

Bloated FOs?
Somehow I don't believe you.

Good ol' Leland is back on LinkedIn. Hit him up and let him know how you feel!
But the FOSUs will save the FOs right? Help is on the way right? Let me ask VHELP in the am if this is true.

What's a "bloated FO"? Is that a thing?
What happens first, white smoke for a new Pope or Dudek removed from the agency?
Given all the misinformation emanating from HQ employees “in the know” over the past three months, I am taking 6:12 with a ton of salt.
If Mr. B was communicating with DCs and ACOSS the whole time and yet told the Senate he had not, why did YOU not communicate to the Senate that he was lying to them?
So where does Dudek land in SSA now?
