ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - A Juvenile was reportedly shot while inside a vehicle in the parking lot of the Social Security Administration office on Hunter Hill Road Wednesday afternoon.
According to information provided through a citizen report, the juvenile's parent was reportedly inside the building when the shooting occurred.
At this time, it has not been determined whether the shooting was accidental or intentional.
The Rocky Mount Police Department confirmed officers responded to the Social Security Administration office around 1:30 p.m. and located a person suffering from a gunshot wound. Police said investigators and forensic personnel remain involved in the investigation.
