It is sad the see this one proud agency slowly going down in flames. By starving the beast the doubters of this agency can bring up the term privatization.

The agency has been understaffed for many years. I enjoyed working in the 80s and 90s when I had time to process claims, collaborate with other CRs on difficult cases, etc. Now I feel like Lucy working at the See's candy factory.

Yeah, well the agency is consumed by telework also. Nobody is thinking about what is best for the customer. It's all about the employee now. So, the once proud agency has went the way of the world, consumed by personal selfishness rather than public service. There are some solutions, but people need to step up to get there. Leaders are panicking and doing crazy stuff like moving work all around. That's solving nothing. It's just teaching bad habits. Let's see, this office is under performing, let's bail them out by ruining another office. That's no help at all. Now you've just taught more people how bad we are. Start with the poor performers if you want to fix the agency.

Just wait until the mandated half-day “adjudication” time for each employee per weeks starts. You’ll never get an appointment!
