Wall Street is still waiting for the highly anticipated jobs report. This administration is recalling a set amount of BLS employees to only work on the COLA. What is this administration hiding? This government shutdown can’t go on forever.
Maybe not forever, but SSA needs to know the percentage increase by a certain date to give it time to update and test its systems to properly adjust benefit payments in time for the first 2026 payment date.
