At hearing, 60% of SSI-only claimants have a rep while 80% of SSD-only claimants have one. Just a reminder to support your local legal services program.
There is no need for representation at the initial or reconsideration levels but at a hearings level it’s a different story. Times are tough and claimants want all their retroactive money for themselves.
