I don't think high utilization of annual leave among SSA employees is over yet: wait time at my local office and the national 800 number were both 80 minutes this morning. That's the highest I've heard it. Or maybe this is a new normal if a lot of people retired at the end of 2025? Decided to wait for a callback from N8NN...I'll be curious if I get one! Of course, I'll now be averaged in as 0 for average speed of answer, when in fact it took 2 minutes to arrange the callback.
My friend bought me a Lego Christmas tree for Christmas. It's about a foot tall. Took FOUR hours to put together. Longer than any tree ever, and that includes chopping one down and driving it home! Love the tree tho, but it won't be coming down! I'll find a cupboard for it to live for the year. I usually leave mine up until the 15th anyway. I realized my eyes are getting too bad for tiny Lego parts. Yes, even at 50, I like my lego collections. Always a kid at heart. Now a kid with reading glasses and a beard. That's all that's changed.

Epiphany is January 6. Thus, Christmas trees should remain up until then.
