A Florida man who threatened in a phone call to “shoot everyone” at a Kalamzoo Social Security Administration office has been sentenced to a year in prison.
Samuel Adam Santellan, 55, was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Grand Rapids to the prison term.
Santellan called the office from Florida in December 2018 about a rejected disability claim. He became angry at some point and told a clerk that he was going to "get a gun, come to the (Social Security) office and shoot everyone.” ...

Just wondering...if he lived in FL, why was his claim filed in MI?
@2:45 he likely called the 1-800-772-1213 number and that FO had the capacity to pick up the call....
I work at a DDS that routinely gets death threats. The particular state DDS where I work allows concealed carry in the building, and the place is heavily armed. Anyone attempts anything there and that person isn’t getting far.
@ 2:45am, being November I assume he was snowbirding. Meaning he spends his winters in FL and summers in MI.
