Social Security Disability Coalition

When it comes to Social Security, the voices of those who work for the Social Security Administration, those who represent claimants before the agency and some non-profit groups are heard. The one group that is seldom heard from is the most important one -- the Social Security claimants themselves. There is a very active online forum, however, where anyone can listen to Social Security disability claimants as they talk with each other. It is the Social Security Disability Coalition.

Yes, thank you Charles...we need to get the word out.....people who are still working and paying into the Social Security System, have no idea what they are in for if they should ever need it....!!!!!

Charles, thanks for mentioning the site. It is heartbreaking to read the claimant's stories there. It's also a good read for attorneys that want to know what claimants are looking for in representation.

You just dont fully understand the system until you truly become disabled and need your SS that you faithfully paid week after week and year after year........only to be told your not disabled by a SS doctor who sees you once for maybe 15 minutes and your Doctor or Doctors are saying there is no way you can gainfully be employed. Please go to the site and sign the petition. It took me three years and then after receiving SS for 6 years being reviewed and once again being told I was denied and on the week before being told I had an inoperatable brain cyst and nothing they could do.
