So about 1/2 of SSN's readers work for SSA, 1/3 represent claimants, and 1/6 are 'other.'

I dropped in on the results from time to time as these were building up. What I thought I was seeing was a somewhat interesting pattern: the early responders were close to 50% representatives. This percentage dropped as more responders came in.

One way to account for this is to think of representatives as being more frequent visitors to Mr. Hall's blog. That's speculation, of course.

Some of us did not answer - I know quite a few people who USED to work for SSA who read the web site regularly after retiring from SSA.

Why would an SSA employee read this site after they retired? Get a life.

After serving the public for over 30 years many of us maintain an interest in the agency and feel we are often in a better position to speak frankly without fear of reprisal. Besides we have more time to read it. Why would someone who works hard all day at SSA go home and read this on their own time? or even on their break or lunch time at work?
