It’s been three months since President Biden fired Andrew Saul from his position as Commissioner of Social Security. I know there’s a lot on the plates of the President and Congress but I hope it won’t be too much longer until someone is nominated for the Commissioner position. There’s only so much that an Acting Commissioner can or will do.

And employees still are being treated poorly at SSA and the service remains poor. Hopefully, the appointment of a permanent commissioner will get SSA back on track.
It is a horrible job. Anyone that would take it should be questioned. It is a no win situation. I guess you are just playing for a lobbying position afterwards.
My guess is that the ACOSS will remain the ACOSS for as long as Biden remains POTUS.
As we learned with the whole Berryhill mess, the Federal Vacancies Reform Act says you can only have an Acting COSS for a finite time unless there is a nominee put forth.
