The Cost Of Living Adjustment (COLA) effective for 2025 is 2.5%.
It is what it is but it should be more like 6%. Home prices, auto's and insurance are up more than that.
How many Social Security recipients are going to buy a new house or car? The federal government is kicking the can down the road since they are not addressing the trust fund solvency issue.
I gotta agree with 7:08. The extra $20 in my check isn't gonna cover a car, insurance or a house! A gallon of milk and a carton of eggs maybe.
