The Senate Finance Committee has scheduled a hearing for April 15 at which Social Security’s Commissioner will testify. Bisignano will be testifying in his capacity as CEO of the IRS, a position that doesn’t really exist, but he may get some questions about his official job at Social Security.

Someone should ask him how he expects to recruit enough GS7 staff to man the phones and field offices when the cost of fuel and parking for a year of work now exceeds the starting salary in many cities. Any plan to address that? If only there were some way for people to work remotely, huh. Like some sort of “tele” work? Hmm…….
