The average person will spend about 5 years suffering from the common cold, and 1 year of that time will be spent with a cold that is severe enough to require bed rest.
Holy moly. I can't recall when I last had a cold, much less one that sent me to bed. Healthy diet, vitamins out the ying-yang, exercise, and yes, reasonably good genes, are the reason(s), I suppose. Still, this article is rather amazing.
So I guess it's OK to call in and tell my supervisor to put me on sick leave for the next year. LOL
