It has long puzzled me that SSA still has standard language that goes out to the claimant when the lawyer appeared at hearing but the claimant didn't, telling the claimant that the case will be dismissed if they don't give a good reason for failure to appear. Then they dismiss, even though that CLEARLY violates the HALLEX.
