Little Support For Cutting Social Security

The opponents of Social Security in Congress seem to be indirectly attacking and cutting the program, by cutting the budget required to administer Social Security. SSA employees who were barely keeping ahead with unlimited overtime have seen overtime cut to virtually nothing, with no new hiring either.

This will inevitably result in increased backlogs, longer waits for beneficiaries, and decreased service to the public.

Those who have a voice such as the bar association should publicize this fact and make the public aware.
SSA requires and deserves adequate funding.
