The Altoona Mirror editorializes on the awful Social Security disability backlogs:

Worthy sentiments, strongly-stated but not particularly deep. Would have appreciated their reaction to the House subcommittee hearing from two weeks ago, where a variety of right-wing Congressmen spent time complaining about borrowing money from China, and funding union activities (which are a constant when the backlog is high or when the backlog is minimal), rather than addressing serious solutions to the crisis.
