Members Of Congress Oppose Field Office Closures

     A group of more than one hundred members of Congress have sent the President a letter asking that he stop closing Social Security field offices.

I dare those members of Congress, without the aid of a computer, to tell their constituents where the SSA office is in their district.

This reminds me of the military base closings in the 80s. Congressmen, such as Leon Panetta, said, "Cut defense, cut defense!" But, when faced with closings in THEIR district... "That's a vital base!". In fairness, the members of Congress mentioned are not likely to be for SSA cuts.
