Well, one "gap" they can measure is the gap between what a person on SSI gets in payments and what living in the real world actually costs. There should be plenty of data to serve as evidence regarding that gap, no?
My jaw dropped when I read in this Notice that the SSA continues to fund projects designed to "Modernize our vocational rules". What is this preoccupation at the SSA with modernizing -most likely gutting- the GRIDs?? I thought the departure of Mr. Warshawsky would have put an end to that nonsense, but I guess I was being naive.
