Don’t Tell Trump; He’ll Demand To Have His Picture On Them

Mock-up of card

      From Fox News:

Millions of babies born during America's 250th anniversary celebration will receive a first-of-its-kind commemorative Social Security card under a new Social Security Administration (SSA) initiative obtained exclusively by FOX Business.

The limited-edition cards, available only to children born in the United States between July 2 and Dec. 31, 2026, will feature the official Freedom 250 logo while functioning exactly like a standard Social Security card, according to an announcement from the Social Security Administration shared with FOX Business. …

It might as well already.
"Freedom 250, created under an executive order by Trump, is organizing events such as the Great American State Fair, as well as the Washington, D.C., July Fourth fireworks and the Patriot Games National Competition, while also having a hand in planning the expected White House UFC fight and an IndyCar race in the nation's capital. It reportedly operates as an outside fundraising arm, relying largely on donations.
Congress also reportedly allocated $150 million in federal funds to commemorate America’s 250th birthday. But now, some lawmakers accuse Freedom 250 of using a portion of the money to fund events under the executive branch."

That’s a good scope from state run media Fox. I wish the clown running this country would spend more time on affordability instead of gimmicks.

Altman emphasized, in light of the committee’s findings, that “DOGE has been found in court to have mishandled our private Social Security data, and these cards may provide another opportunity for that abuse of Americans’ most personal, sensitive information.”

The use of the Freedom 250 logo on Social Security cards is “corrupt and inappropriate,” said Social Security Works.

The group called on SSA Commissioner Frank Bisignano to disclose whether the administration is paying a licensing fee to Freedom 250, release “any and all contracts between the Social Security Administration and Freedom 250,” and reveal whether Freedom 250 will have “access to data associated with beneficiaries of Social Security cards bearing their logo.”

“This is abuse of Social Security, a nonpartisan institution which Trump claimed he would not hurt,” said Altman. “Like issuing passports with Trump’s visage and signature, putting his name on the Kennedy Center, and destroying the East Wing of the White House, turning Social Security cards into political propaganda reveals yet again Trump’s contempt for the American people he is supposed to be serving.”
