Shutdown Looms

There are reports that House Speaker John Boehner informed those present at the White House meeting today that he would not support any deal unless he could get enough support to pass it solely among House Republicans. The Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, has made the same accusation. In effect, this gives the Tea Party group a veto on any budget deal. If true, this almost guarantees a government shutdown. Indeed, this almost guarantees a long shutdown.

Ok children. Let's get out of the sandbox and start acting like mature adults. Pretend, if you have to. I am embarrased to say that I voted for any of these people. Does the welfare of the American people mean anything to these people?

These guys are pathetic. One political move after another. Too bad they still get paid if the gov shuts down.

There's such a disconnect now between the average American and these hucksters we are forced to choose to represent us. The wealth, power, and complete poverty of common sense among both the Dems and Repubs right now is just despicable. Seems like the Republicans and Boehner are just pissing in the sandbox because they're still mad that Sarah Palin lost their party the presidency.
