William Joseph Murphy, 44, (currently incarcerated in the Dubuque County Jail) is the focus of an ongoing theft investigation involving fraudulent social security disability advocacy. Anyone who may have been deceived by Murphy and/or his company, American Disability Entitlements, LLC, is asked to contact Investigator David Randall at 563-589-4429.

Glad you posted this Charles. He's a non-attorney rep that has been around Dubuque, Iowa for about a year. I'm not sure, but I believe he was in the Madison or Milwaukee area prior to that doing the same type of work.
Met him twice, no relation. Unfortunately, having the same surname doing the same type of work in a relatively small town makes it a little too close for comfort. Hopefully it won't sour the Murphy name around these parts.

As a former ALJ in Iowa, I can attest that Thad Murphy is a capable, competent representative.
The other guy never appeared before me. Apparently that is his problem -- if he had just come to the hearing and sat there, even if he didn't do anything at all, he wouldn't be up on charges today.
