President-elect Barack Obama's transition website now lists Robert Nickerson as part of the transition team for Social Security. Nickerson was a Special Assistant to the Commissioner of Social Security in 1996 and a Confidential Assistant to the Commissioner (what a title!) in 2000. I can find no sign of what he has been up to since 2000.

Well, Bob was extremely detail oriented when he was the scheduler for the COSS back in the day; I imagine his understanding of the COSS job from that unique perspective and his organizational skills are valuable to the transition team.
"Detail oriented," what a lovely euphemism. Controlling blow-hard might also fit. Hopefully, he's only there to be a scheduler, nothing substantive and nothing involving people skills, the latter he lacks entirely.
