That figures. He'd do away with social security altogether if he could get away with it. After all, the only important thing they do is cut people off of disability.

So, roughly two thirds of all civilian employees are in Defense, Homeland Security, or the VA. This doesn't include active duty military. Reportedly roughly 1,300,000 active duty and 800,000 reserves.

The US Government has been termed an insurance agency (Social Security 25%/Medicare26%) with an Army. In terms of expenditures, that is roughly correct but in terms of personnel, it is pretty clearly a military (21%) with some support staff.

And, what is Commerce up to that requires a doubling of staff?
