In 1960 the boys shared James and William with the 10 most popular names of 2023. None of the 1960 girls names made this list.
The most popular name was David which was the name of almost 4% of the male babies. Mary was the most popular girls name at 2.4%.
The most popular names of Liam (1.14%) and Olivia (.87%) are much less used than the most popular names in 1960. SO there is more diversity in names now.
