Nancy Pelosi could make a huge difference to the agency if we have Democratic leadership in Washington next year.

SSA HQ and PC7 employees were invited down to greet Nancy Pelosi. I was there.

Commissioner O'Malley gave her a good introduction and then she gave a nice speech while standing up on the staircase, about how much she appreciated SSA employees. It was a good event.

She should visit a field office.

Baltimore native, her dad was Mayor and helped rescue the Browns into getting out of St. Louis and becoming the Orioles. A nepo baby who made good, and who honors and respects her roots.

Pelosi won't do squat for SSA.

History shows she presided over the House for many years during SSA's descent into its current worthless state. Even during periods when the Democrats held the entire Congress and the Presidency, she did nothing.

And, this was despite her being the person who controlled the House agenda.

In short, I'm not holding my breath for anything from her.

My guess is that the former speaker has never been to the SSA headquarters since she was very busy helping run this country. Nancy Pelosi has more time on her hands now and might add to her legacy by strengthening Social Security.

Nancy Pelosi said she'd been at SSA HQ before, many years ago as a teenager, working in a temporary job.

It was nice that she showed respect for SSA employees and came to HQ to tour and speak to employees. Commissioner O'Malley handled himself well too.

SSA employees also got an email from Carolyn Colvin too. O'Malley isn't afraid to schmooze.

Remember, Pelosi is from a political dynasty in that area. Both her father and brother served terms as mayor of Baltimore (like O'Malley).
