While there was an increase in separated in 2022, I expected a much greater number giving that so many were leaving when telework was reduced.

Does anyone know if SSA plans to offer early out retirement to its employees this year?

No early outs this year

Probably no early outs for a decade+

They should have stopped early outs years ago. I get it saves money to have the higher paid experienced folks move on, but we have had serious brain drain for some time now.

@12:32 it has happened in HQ and the regions. People actually did leave. I don’t know if you work for SSA, but if you do and you can access it, check out the HQ Security Stat briefing every two weeks. 2024 resignations and transfers to other agencies since the return to office announcement was made has outpaced 2023 already.
