I haven't heard. Are Social Security field offices open to the public on Friday, July 5?
Update: I posted this over three hours ago and no one has responded! I may not be the only one who doesn't know the answer to this question.

Yes, SSA is open with regular hours in field offices. However, I would assume staff levels would be critically low for in-person/phone services with vacation possibility on a federal holiday weekend.
Huh? Why would they be closed? When have they ever been closed on the weekday following the 4th? Is SSA supposed to announce each weekday that offices are open?

The SSA offices are either open or closed on July 5th. Now I understand why the agency is a mess!
