I am hearing that many Social Security offices around the country were ordered evacuated today due to some unspecified security threat. I don’t recall ever hearing about anything as widespread as this.

Management all know what happened but won’t share it with employees. (As always) Rumor has it that some offices received bomb threat written in Ukrainian and out of precaution, many offices are closed in the middle of the day. But we were told that we have to finish our tour at home.

All regional offices got threats and closed.
Looks like all PC's shuttered as well as HQ today. Few employees were alerted with our internal alert system. Seems it was not limited to SSA. Other federal agencies threatened as well. Need to find alternative sources other than the talking heads.
HQ was not shuttered
I received the internal alert during lunch. Absolutely nothing was said by management before or after the evacuation. Unfortunately getting information on Reddit has been the most reliable "source" in the last year.
OCIO was told nothing and stayed at HQ. Although Other areas of operations in HQ were told to leave the building.
