COLA May Be Much Lower

There's a warning out that the Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) for Social Security is going to be way down this year, to around 1.7% instead of last year's 3.6%

Of course, the goverment figures show that there is NO INFLATION. But somehow the prices of the thing that my family buys keep going up or the container size keeps getting smaller.
    How can this be?

No one is "cutting" benefits. The COLA is based of a price index set by CONGRESS. The fact the price index does not include food, fuel, utilities medical cost and prescription cost was chosen by CONGRESS.

The Presedent had nothing to do with it. Ignorance keeps it going and why nothing changes. Want to make change, point the anger in the right direction.

Thank you for repeating your self. Possibly technically correct.
