I like know which idiot thought it was good idea to not tell people the payment schedule and just give the sometime in May BS answer. If you want to make everything sensitive go work for the freaking CIA or NSA.
#1 and #2 questions "am I eligible" and "when will I get it."
Sorry, but not telling people something they can't understand is not politically correct, but is administratively correct. Giving the stock answer cuts off additional questions and saves times needed to do real work. Apparently the overwhelming majority of respondents to the poll do not work in field offices.
"Sorry, but not telling people something they can't understand is not politically correct."
The normal monthly scheduled payments for the year are listed on the Web site, so if the agency figures people can understand that, no reason the stimulus payment schedule couldn't be posted.
