How about that cartoon character with his eyes spinning around, since that reflects how the employees feels about the sweatshop atmosphere at some offices?

The Hindenburg or the Titanic. Things that started as new and wonderful like Social Security, that went down in flames and sunk to the bottom of the ocean.
