Can't you use an email delivery service other than Blogger?
Of course, you can "subscribe" to this blog in Google Reader, or another news reader. This will deliver every post to your computer. Yes, you must have a (free) Google account to use Google reader. Nevertheless, I have used this method for at least two years, and it works quite well.
