You Get What You Pay For

North Carolina Disability Determination Services (DDS), which makes determinations on Social Security disability claims at the initial and reconsideration levels, has posted online its fee schedule for the medical examinations that it orders. I am pretty sure that this is not standardized nationally but I'll bet that NC isn't far different from most states on this score.
Complain all you want about consultative examinations but don't expect improvement with this kind of fee schedule.

Considering ODAR is only allowed to send 20-25 pages of the entire medical record for the Doctor to review, how is any Doctor supposed to do an adequate examination and review of records to detemine the claimant's condition??

Whoa whoa whoa, who says these quacks even review medical records? And when they do allegedly review them, do you think they actually consider any of the other doctors' findings, or the MRI reports, etc?

Consultative exams get A LOT of people on the rolls nationwide; they can't get everyone an allowance, but then most applicants are not disabled anyway, they just hope to be found disabled...

Whenever i hear the word disabled used by ssa denials i think of someone who can't speak or tie their shoes which is wrong.

The fee schedules are determined by market rate in each state. The DDS has the ability to request higher fees in cases where no CE is available at the market rate. But the rates vary widely by state with regions of the south being the lowest rates in the nation.
