Social Security's Office of Inspector General (OIG) is seeking four valet parking spaces for government vehicles in New York City. Needing parking spaces I understand but valet parking spaces?

The word valet does not appear in the documents I downloaded. PDF search didn't find the word. It does say an attendant can be used but keys will not be left and self parking is required. Might want to reread this one.

The title included the word valet, but Amendment 1 to the solicitation changes the title to delete "valet" noting that the text did not actually require valet parking, but self-parking. Amendment 2 cancels the solicitation.
6:53 is a highly offended Supervisory OIG in NYC.
I suggest valet parking at the Dunkin Donuts nearest your office.

Parking in NYC is not comparable to parking in the empty not-metropoli where SSA/OHO low-bid its way into massive offices like Falls Church, Albuquerque, or the abandoned near-St Louis army base that houses their NHC and training center and RCAC.
That said, most NYC personnel use the subway.
Clearly, none of these commentators regarding the title have actually prepared or responded to a government solicitation. But have to love the snark. Because it don't mean sh*t what the title says, what matters is what the details say, I'd hope you experts agree? Comment on newspaper articles on social media without reading them? Make medical decisions without reading the file? That solicitation spoke clearly to 4 self parking spots and the word valet wasn't mentioned once elsewhere. Nor was a valet spot described, as it had to be self-park, pull in, pull out, and no keys were to be left in the vehicle, no blocked car parking and available 24/7. No one who bids on these things depends on the title, they simply know better. Half teh time no one understands what the title says.

That's irrelevant, because this is not parking for employee vehicles, but for government vehicles to be used for travel in the course of investigations. I expect they need the new spaces because they've lost their spaces in the garage at 26 Federal Plaza because of structural problems there that are currently requiring renovation.
